In 1976 Munich was a hub for artists like Freddy Mercury and David Bowie, disco heavily influenced the company's start. MCM stands for Modern Creation Munchen. The MCM logo is meant to represent and pay tribute to the renecause art in Munich, the black diamonds are supposed to resemble the ones on the Bavarian flag.
